Alec Baldwin wished wife Hilaria a “happy birthday” on Instagram Wednesday.
“Happy birthday to the love of my life,” he wrote. “To the only person in the world who brings me joy and peace every day. The person who is my home. My everything.”
Hilaria Baldwin, 37, and husband Alec Baldwin, 62, welcomed their 5th child, Eduardo, only a couple of months ago. He joined Carmen, 7; Rafael, 5; Leonardo, 4; and Romeo, 2.
Baldwin’s post presented a glimpse on the couple’s “regular” social media presence that they’re probably itching to go back to following the extensive backlash his wife faced at the cease of 2020 for her years-long try at passing herself off as someone of Spanish heritage. At the same time as Baldwin’s grift was exposed on social media, the pile-on endured within the media, which compiled clips of Hilaria’s wavering Spanish accessory and revealed that she grew up in a multimillion-dollar Boston home along with her mother and father, Dr. Kathryn Hayward and David Thomas.
Obviously, the Baldwins were not amused: Alec’s daughter Ireland Baldwin came to defense of her stepmother, while Alec lashed out on social media. This week, a source told “Entertainment Tonight” that the couple were very upset that her cultural identity and background even are being questioned and remain deeply affected by the controversy.
“Hilaria is such a soft-spoken, kind, caring and loving person, and the harassment and hate that she has been receiving on social media has been a lot for her,” they added.
